What unlimited means

Every plan includes unlimited calls and texts between you and your assistant. That covers the calls you make to it from the car, the calls it makes to you at the times you set, the texts it sends you, and everything it does off the call: reading your inbox overnight, preparing your brief, writing the note into the CRM. There is no balance to check, no month-end, no allowance, and no invoice ever carries a usage line. A ten-second question is a ten-second call, and a person who calls ten times a day is exactly who this is for.

The one limit is fair use, and here it is in full:

Unlimited calls and texts between you and your assistant for normal individual business use. To keep pricing flat for everyone we may apply fair-use limits, currently a soft ceiling of 1,000 assistant-minutes per seat per month, and we'll contact you before any limit affects your service.

Fair use exists so that the few cannot be paid for by the many. It is there to stop bulk and automated use: a shared PIN, an automated system on the line, a seat used by more than one person. It is not there to stop you using your assistant. Nothing switches off on its own, and nobody hears from us about it without a conversation first. If you ever want to know, ask it on any call roughly how much you have talked this month and it will tell you; that is information, not a bill.

Two practical rules keep the promise honest. Each seat is one named person with their own assistant; seats are not shared or pooled, and adding a person is adding a seat. And a single call ends after half an hour: shortly before, it says so and offers to call you back, so a call forgotten in a parked car does not run on.

Most calls are short, because you are telling it something or asking for something, not chatting. Here is what the common ones look like.

What the common calls look like
What you ask for What happens on the call
Inbox triage after a meeting "What came in?" It reads you the five that matter. You answer two of them, and the replies go out.
Meeting debrief into the CRM, plus the follow-up You say what happened. It logs the note, the next step and the date, then drafts the thank-you email and sends it.
The morning-brief call at 7:30 am It calls you: the route, the meetings, anything urgent from overnight, and the one thing you promised someone yesterday.
Moving a meeting and telling them you are late "Move the 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and let them know." It moves the meeting and sends the message.
A brief on an account before you walk in Who you are seeing, what you talked about last time, open deals, the last three emails, anything in the news.
Chasing three overdue invoices You name the three customers. It drafts each reminder with the amount and sends them.

What that means on each plan

  • Solo. Call it as often as you like, whenever you like. It answers 24 hours a day, evenings and weekends included. It does not call you on a schedule; you call it.

  • Rep. Everything in Solo, and it also calls you: the morning brief at the time you set, the end-of-day debrief, and a text summary when you want one. These are part of the plan, not a counted unit, and they only happen because you said yes to them at signup.

  • Team. Every seat is its own assistant with its own unlimited calls and texts. Nothing is shared out, nobody rations anyone, and the manager sees the work in the CRM, never a usage figure, because there is none.

Set against the cost of a person

The honest comparison is not with other software. It is with the hours of a person, because that is who does this work today, or nobody does.

Time etc, a US virtual assistant service, charges $390 a month for 10 hours. Double charges $549 for 10 hours. A full-time dedicated assistant from Athena is $3,000 to $3,600 a month. The median US executive assistant earns $76,590 a year, about $6,400 a month before benefits and payroll taxes.

Set against the cost of a person
Who does the work What it costs What you get
A US virtual assistant service (Time etc) $390 a month for 10 hours About $39 an hour, in business hours, booked ahead
A US executive assistant by the hour (Double) $549 a month for 10 hours About $55 an hour, in business hours, booked ahead
A full-time dedicated assistant (Athena) $3,000 to $3,600 a month Full time, remote, one person who learns how you work
An executive assistant, in-house About $6,400 a month before benefits and payroll taxes ($76,590 a year, the US median) Full time, in the office, and worth every penny if you can fill their day
CallMyDesk Rep $199 a month, unlimited calls and texts Any hour of the day, from the car, with your inbox, calendar and CRM already open, and it calls you with the brief

It is not a person, and it is in addition to the people you have, not instead of them. A good assistant does things no phone line can. What it takes on is the part of the day you would otherwise do yourself from the car: the inbox, the calendar, the CRM, the follow-up. If you already have someone in the office, it can brief them after your call, so they are never out of the loop.

Founding seats: $49, refundable

We are setting people up in small groups, and founding seats go first. A founding seat is a $49 deposit paid by card. Your seat still starts with the two-week free trial, and the deposit is credited against your first paid month after it, so on Solo that month costs $70 and on Rep $150. Change your mind at any time before then and we refund it in full, no reason needed. If we do not launch, every deposit is refunded without being asked.

What you get

  • A place in the first set-up group, in the order deposits arrive.
  • An email before anything is charged. You choose your plan then, not now.
  • The right to walk away for free.
Reserve a founding seat

The founding-seat deposit is $49 and is refundable in full at any time before your first invoice. Ask by email and we refund within five business days.

Or start your free trial without a deposit.

What we do not sell

So that nobody looks for it on a higher plan.

  • Calls to your prospects or customers. It never makes marketing calls or sends marketing texts to anyone. It places service calls at your instruction, such as confirming a table or moving a meeting, and it says it's an AI on every call it makes on your behalf.

  • Meeting recording. It is a one-to-one call between you and your assistant. It never joins or records your meetings, and it never calls your prospects.

  • Answering your customers' calls. The line is yours. It answers to you, not to the public.

  • Moving money. It drafts and sends the quote. It does not take the payment, make one, or change a password.

  • Credits, minute packs or per-action fees. Unlimited calls and texts with your assistant. There is nothing to run out of.

  • A free tier. Every plan starts with a two-week free trial, and the demo line is free: three minutes, no account. After the trial, every plan is paid.

Pricing questions

What does unlimited mean?

Unlimited calls and texts between you and your assistant for normal individual business use. To keep pricing flat for everyone we may apply fair-use limits, currently a soft ceiling of 1,000 assistant-minutes per seat per month, and we'll contact you before any limit affects your service. In practice that means you call it as often as you like, it calls and texts you at the times you set, and nothing is counted against you. The work it does off the call, reading your inbox, preparing your brief and writing into the CRM, is part of the plan too. Fair use is there to stop bulk and automated use and shared seats, never to stop a person doing their job, and nothing is ever limited without a conversation first.

Does it cost more when it calls me?

No. The morning-brief call, the end-of-day debrief and the text summary are part of the Rep and Team plans, not something counted or charged. It only calls and texts you because you asked it to. You say yes at signup, we text a one-time code to confirm it's your number, every call it makes to you opens with the CallMyDesk name and a number you can call back, and you can say "stop" at any time. Texts come from a toll-free number for now. Standard carrier rates for calls and texts to your cell phone are between you and your carrier, as with any call.

Is sales tax included?

No. Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax. Where your state charges sales tax on a business software subscription, it is added at checkout and shown as a separate line on your invoice, which comes from Stripe. Most states do not tax a subscription like this, so most customers see no tax line. Customers outside the US pay in US dollars and their card converts; customers in the UK will find the UK tax note in the UK section of our terms.

Can I change plan, or cancel?

Yes to both. Move up at any time and the change applies right away, with the unused part of your current month credited. Move down and it applies from your next billing date. Monthly plans can be canceled at any time and run to the end of the paid month. Annual plans can be canceled within 14 days of payment for a full refund; after that they run to the end of the year and do not renew. Team seats can be removed at renewal, never below three. Canceling revokes its access to your accounts in one step, stops any scheduled calls and texts, and starts the deletion of your data: call audio within 30 days, transcripts within 90, or sooner if you ask.

Why is Team billed yearly, and why three seats?

Team is built for a group that shares accounts: the admin console, the shared context and the manager's view of the CRM only make sense with more than one person on it, so it starts at three seats. It is billed yearly for now at $179 a seat a month, $6,444 a year for three seats, and you can add a seat at any time for the rest of your year. If you are one person, Rep is the same assistant with the same unlimited calls and texts, and you can move to Team when a colleague joins; everything you have logged comes with you.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a two-week free trial. During early access the trial begins when your seat opens, not when you join the list, so none of it is spent waiting. There is no charge until day 15, and if you cancel during the trial you pay nothing. If you want a place near the front of the queue, the founding-seat deposit is the alternative: $49, refundable, and credited against your first paid month after the trial. The terms set out the trial in full.

What is the $49 deposit for, and can I get it back?

It reserves a founding seat, which means you are set up in the first group, in the order deposits arrive, and you hear from us before anything else is charged. When your seat opens your two-week free trial starts as usual, and the $49 is credited against your first paid month after the trial. The founding-seat deposit is $49 and is refundable in full at any time before your first invoice. Ask by email and we refund within five business days.

Is there an enterprise plan?

Yes. Enterprise is for teams of 20 or more and regulated firms. It includes everything in Team on every seat, plus a dedicated account manager, onboarding for the whole team with a set-up call per rep, single sign-on (SAML) and an admin console with roles, custom retention and archiving to meet record-keeping rules, a signed data processing agreement, SOC 2 compliance with the report available under NDA, custom integrations, and priority support with invoicing on net terms. There is no list price. Book a call through the contact form, we reply within one business day to arrange it, and we quote a price for your firm on the call.
