Compared with voice-to-CRM apps
By Daniil, founder of CallMyDesk · Checked on October 8, 2026
Voice-to-CRM apps turn what you say after a meeting into a CRM note, and the good ones do it well. Most live in an app, and all of them stop at the CRM. CallMyDesk is a phone call rather than an app, and after it logs the note it sends the follow-up, holds the calendar and briefs you before the next one.
What each one does today
Facts from each product's own pages and announcements, checked on October 8, 2026. Prices are as published, in the vendor's currency, per user unless stated. The last two rows before CallMyDesk are route planners, not assistants; they are here because many field teams already pay for one.

Where a cell says "no", the product's own pages describe no such feature as of the date above. We re-check monthly and remove anything we cannot verify. CallMyDesk prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax. Unlimited calls and texts between you and your assistant for normal individual business use. To keep pricing flat for everyone we may apply fair-use limits, currently a soft ceiling of 1,000 assistant-minutes per seat per month, and we'll contact you before any limit affects your service.
An app in your hand, or a number you call
Nearly every tool in the table is an app. Some are very good apps, and with CarPlay or Android Auto they are lawful to use on the move. But an app has to be open, signed in, updated and on a smartphone with signal, and it works in one car set-up and not the next. One product in the table, Bliro, took the other route for its German-speaking customers: you call a number and talk, which is the same choice CallMyDesk makes.
A phone call is the lowest-tech thing a working day contains. It works from a seven-year-old phone, a rental car, a desk phone or the office line. There is nothing to open: you call, it answers "Hello, this is CallMyDesk, your AI assistant", you give your PIN, and you talk. In the 33 states and the District of Columbia that ban holding a phone at the wheel, a call over the car's Bluetooth is the one way to work the drive that is lawful everywhere your territory goes; a tap on an app at a red light is not. For the person who does 15 visits a week, that is the difference between a tool they use in the parking lot and a tool they mean to use. It is an assistant you can phone (the category is explained in the guide).
Capturing the note is a third of the job
After a meeting, three things need to happen: the CRM needs the note, the customer needs the follow-up, and you need the next one on the calendar. A voice-to-CRM app does the first well. Several draft the second for you to send later from a screen. None of them does the third, and none reads your inbox to tell you the customer already replied.
CallMyDesk does all three in one call because it is connected to the CRM, the mailbox and the calendar at once. It logs the note, then sends the thank-you with the two case studies attached, then holds Tuesday at 10 am, reading each one back first. On the Rep and Team plans it calls you the next morning with the calendar and anything that came in overnight, and before the next visit it briefs you from the deal, the last emails and the web. It only calls and texts you because you asked it to. You say yes at signup, we text a one-time code to confirm it's your number, every call it makes to you opens with the CallMyDesk name and a number you can call back, and you can say "stop" at any time. Texts come from a toll-free number for now.
- “Log the Henderson meeting: liked the pricing, blocker is IT sign-off, decision in Q1. Then send Paul the thank-you with the two case studies and propose Tuesday at 10.”
- “Note for the Henderson Logistics deal: ‘Positive on pricing. Blocker is IT security sign-off. Decision expected Q1.’ OK to log it?”
- “Yes.”
- “Logged. You're free Tuesday at 10 am. Email to Paul Henderson, subject ‘Thank you, and the two case studies’, with Northgate Trucking and Avon Fleet Services attached, proposing Tuesday, October 21 at 10 am. Shall I send it?”
- “Yes, send it.”
- “Sent, and Tuesday at 10 am is held. The email is logged on the deal. Three actions, all in your audit log.”
If your CRM already has it
The CRM vendors have been busy. Salesforce made Field Voice generally available in its mobile app at Dreamforce in September 2026: spoken summaries of the account before the visit, dictated notes, status and follow-ups after, all inside Salesforce's own permissions. HubSpot's Breeze Assistant has a mobile voice mode in public beta that will query deals, prep a brief, update a lifecycle stage and draft an email for you to review. Pipedrive's mobile app records an audio note and transcribes it.
If your team lives in one of those apps and the job is the note, these are good, and in Pipedrive's case free. Their limits are the ones you would expect: each works only with its own CRM, each needs its app open, and none of them touches your mailbox, so the follow-up still waits for a keyboard. Salesforce prices its voice as an Agentforce add-on at $125 a user a month, or $0.15 per voice action on its Flex plan; HubSpot's is included while in beta.
The route planners are a different job again. Badger Maps and Map My Customers are what many field teams already pay for to decide which accounts to visit and in what order, and both sell a flat seat with no variable usage fees. Neither is an assistant: they do not read your inbox, send your follow-up or hold your calendar, and CallMyDesk does not plan your route. Plenty of reps will run one of them for the week and CallMyDesk for what happens after each stop.
When an app is all you need
Be honest with yourself about the job, because for some teams the simpler tool is the right one.
A voice-to-CRM app is probably enough if
- The only thing you need after a meeting is the note, and someone else sends the follow-ups
- Your firm already pays for Salesforce Field Voice or lives in the HubSpot app all day
- You want the tool inside the CRM's own permissions and nothing connected to your mailbox
- You sell in German-speaking markets and want a phone-call tool built for them
- Your real problem is which accounts to visit and in what order, which is a route planner's job, not an assistant's
- Your CRM is one CallMyDesk does not yet connect (today: HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce)
CallMyDesk is the better fit if
- You send your own follow-ups and want them gone within the hour, not on Friday
- You want the brief before the meeting from the CRM, the inbox and the web together
- You want to do it from any phone, including the car's Bluetooth and the office line
- You want it to call you at 7:30 am and at the end of the day to ask what to log
- Your mail is on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and your CRM is one of the three
Where CallMyDesk is early
This is a founder-built product in early access, and several of the tools above have years of customers behind them. CallMyDesk connects three CRMs and two mail systems today, in English, US first. Google Workspace is in early access with limited places while Google reviews our app; Microsoft 365 is the quicker route in. It is not a meeting recorder: it is a one-to-one call between you and your assistant. It never joins or records your meetings, and it never calls your prospects. Writes to the CRM are limited to what you asked for on the call; it will not bulk-update, merge or delete records. It does not plan routes. Phone audio is not studio audio, so when it is not sure of a name it asks.
For a team, Team is $179 a seat a month, billed yearly, with three seats or more, and adds an admin console, manager-visible activity in the CRM and an audit log your manager can read. What it writes to each CRM, field by field, is on the integrations page. The whole day on the road, as four calls, is on the field-sales page.
